Our food project, “a taste of history”, combines local and traditional
dishes with new impulses. We look for unique, local and characteristic
tastes of Southern Norway. We intend to create a network of local
suppliers, where Strand Hotel Fevik take pride in developing and serving dishes based on local produce. As our guest you will get to taste “the heart of Southern Norway”.
We wish to contribute to strengthen the interest for local
ingredients, because we are proud of the produce offered by our local
environment.
Each dish on the menu has its own special history. The author Roald Dahl is
one of several people who has had a dish named after him. He stayed at the hotel every summer for 30 years. The scary and exotic Mrs Espinoza, who ruled the hotel with an iron fist from 1961 to 1975, is also represented on the menu with a dish inspired by the Mediterranean.
In our restaurant, you have much to look forward to. As our guest you will
not only get a meal, but a unique and interesting experience. With
history and local specialities as ingredients, the meal is turned into
something special.
